Add and Edit Ratecard
Ratecards are added to the system, then rates are added to the ratecard, and the whole ratecard is then added to a call plan to make up an overall product.
Tariff Name
Give the ratecard a tariffname, one method is to use a combination of the product or call plan and the carrier as a name.
Start Date
The start date of this rate card.
Expiry Date
The expiry date of the ratecard, when it is no longer active.
Trunk
The trunk to be used on this ratecard
Description
A free text field to make notes about the ratecard.
DNID Prefix
The DNID prefix can be used to select a rate table. e.g. a tollfree number usually attracts a per minute charge to the owner, and if this is being used as an access number then a higher rate would have to be charged to cover the cost of the of the toll free number.
Caller ID Prefix
The CID prefix allows this ratecard to be selected when the Caller ID matches. Often carriers charge more for tollfree numbers when called from a Cell phone as opposed to a landline, so by using a combination of the DNID prefix and the CID prefix, the differential charges can be taken into account and passed onto the customer.
