List Customers
List Customers lists the all the customers, and gives you the ability to edit them, as well as a number of other operations. The terms Customer and Cards are used interchangeably.
Refill
Customers added through the Create Customer page are generally set up with zero balance so that you can keep track of the payments and refills that you have applied to each customer.
Refill will add credit to the card, but it is up to you to Add New Payment to show that money has been taken for a refill you have applied.
Enter the card ID in the cardID box, or the card number in the card number box. Enter the amount of credit that you would like to apply in the currency of the customer. Then click "Add Credit to the Selected Card".
You will be able to see the amount added in the View Money Situation, and the balance should be incremented in the customer list.
Search Cards
Search cards allows you to search for selected customers based on a number of parameters. You can use multiple criteria to extract a subset of customers.
When done with searching, ensure that you click "Cancel Search" to list all customers
"Delete All" will delete all customers selected and their dependant records. Please be careful using this button. Most people leave dormant customers in the system for accounting purposes, and only clear them out when records have been taken on total revenues and payments.
Batch Update
Batch update gives the ability to bulk update large numbers of cards selected in the above search cards section.
Card List
The card list gives the list of customers with some pertinent information as explained below. Customers are displayed in blocks of 10, and there is a drop down at the bottom to display more records. Displaying large numbers of customers on one page can make the list slow to display, and may have adverse effects on call setup times.
ID The id or the customer, incremented by one, each time a new customer is added.
Card Number Randomly generated number, that should be kept secret. This number is used not only to identify the customer, as well as authenticate to the service. The card number length defaults to the length specified in a2billing.conf, but can be overridden when creating a new card through Create Customer. The customers can be ordered in ascending or descending order by clicking on the heading. This only sorts those that are currently displayed.
Alias The Alias is a random number which is used to login to the customer's WebUI. The email address can be used as well, as long as it is unique on the system. The Alias is also used as the phone number for calling SIP/IAX friends on the system if this feature has been enabled on a2billing.conf, in order to disguise the card number, which should not be allowed to fall into anyone elses hands.
