List Voucher
The voucher system is a system whereby existing cards can be topped up via a voucher. This has the advantage in a calling card environment that you do not have to keep selling the same card to the same customer time and time again. It does have the disadvantage that you wil not be able to enjoy the benefits of Breakage.
This system is also useful for longer term customers - if you have gone to the trouble of setting up speed dials and VoIP accounts, it is undesirable to lose those benefits by issuing a new card.
Vouchers are applied to an account either by typing in the number into the 1-3-CustomerInterface? or via an IVR menu that can be set up in the agi-conf of 1-3-a2billing.conf?
There is also a context that you can add in extensions .conf (a2billing.php|1|Voucher) that will direct a customer into the voucher IVR.
Field Descriptions
ID
The identifier of the row
Voucher
The voucher number, randomly generated that is typed into the IVR or customer interface to top up the account by the voucher amount.
Tag
A randomly generated number to identify the batch of vouchers just created. If a single voucher is created, then it can be free text.
Activated
There are only two states, Activated and Inactive. Activated means that the voucher is available for use, whereas inactive means that the voucher has been used, or has not been activated. Ideally, vouchers should be issued to a retailer in an inactive state, and some mechanism should be employed to activate the voucher so that several thousand vouchers can be issued, but only paid and charged for as they are activated. The presence of a card number and inactive shows that the voucher has been applied to an account.
Used Card Number
The card number which has been topped up by this voucher
Use Date
The date that the voucher was applied
Currency
The currency of the voucher can be created in any currency, and the amount of refill will be applied at the exchange rate that the voucher was used.
Action
Edit or Delete vouchers.
Export
Vouchers can exported into CSV or XML files for printing, or posting on an online shopping system.
